A bi-annual programme, Hong Kong Paralympic Day, is being held in the same year of the Paralympic Games and Asian Para Games in order to promote public support for the development of para sports in Hong Kong and encourage people with physical disabilities to participate in sports. The one day progamme included an opening ceremony, para sports demonstration and trials, exhibitions, sharing sessions and a celebration of the 90 days countdown to the 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia.
